Buddies
Buddy BuddiesRemember when we were in primary one and during recess time we were being selected by some primary 5 students and they are to be our "buddies" for the next two weeks or so?
Remember?
I remembered.
While I was looking through my Gems notes...and looking at food notes...i suddenly remembered my buddy. Clearly.
Blog abt it I shall.
So there I was sitting in line and thinking "oh noooo...who is gonna pick me?"
I can still remember....my heart was beating fast...afraid tt noone would want to
"buddy" up with me.
But heyyy..i was the first few to run off for recess.
There was this malay girl who was talking to her friend saying "hmmm...
mana satu eh?" which means
which one huh.so there i was looking down....i dont even know what i was thinking...
and she took one step to the left and pointed to me and offered me her hand.
There. Easy as that. I got a buddy.
And then I headed towards my mum and she introduced herself.
Pleasant girl she is.
And my mum adores her.
And mummy used to tell me to follow her example when i was in primary school.
Polite. Intelligent. Lady-like. Hardworking.
Those are the characteristics my buddy has.
Oh. How could i forgot to introduce her. Her name's Murni btw.
And it does seem like I do follow in her footsteps.
Maybe it's coincidential but come to think abt it...it may not be coincidential.
We were both from New Town Pri Sch. I transferred from New Town Pri. when she graduated.
So during my secondary school time, i found out that Kak (kak = elder sis) Murni was from New Town Sec and she has graduated by then.
And when i was just abt to graduate from New Town Sec, I found out that she was in Singapore Poly....which I am in now.
Weirdly enough. I see a chain there.
So...i text-ed her just now and heyyyy she still remembers me!
But...her communication style...is so different.
She spelled school as
skol, said
what's up instead of how are you.
But at least...she asked how my mum is. Which is pretty erm....i dunno a word to describe it...nice? considerate? thoughtful?
oh well. after all, my mum was always super nice to her.
anyways, she sound ...different. and i dont like it that she sounded different. i know u cant tell much from a message but i have instincts. haha.
seriously. oh whatever.
